Set up your organization
Sign in as an administrator to set your organization's name, time zone, and support contact. Invite a second administrator so someone else can manage Owlie if you lose access.
Set the organization profile
Open Admin > Tenant Settings > Organization. Check these fields:
| Field | What to choose |
|---|---|
| Organization name | The name you want Owlie to use for your organization. This is required. |
| Default time zone | The baseline for scheduling and dates when a person's own time zone is unknown. It is initially filled from your browser; check that it suits your organization. |
| IT / support contact | An optional support email address employees can use when they need help, including with access denial. |
Choose Save profile and confirm Saved appears. Reopen the page to check the stored values, especially the time zone if you are setting up from a different location.
Establish a second administrator
The invitation grants the Admin role and sends a sign-in link. Use it only for colleagues who should administer Owlie, not to populate your user directory.
Choose a trusted colleague who should have administrative access. In the dashboard's Start setup view, open Invite other admins and enter their email address. Confirm that they can reach the admin dashboard after signing in.
The invitation requires permission to modify identities and roles. Organization profile changes require permission to modify the tenant and its settings. If these actions are unavailable, ask an existing administrator to check your permissions.
Choose your first source and target
Identify the system you trust for employee information (usually your HR system) and one target system where you can safely test access changes. Choose a few representative identities, including different employment statuses if possible, to inspect after the import.
You will configure user sign-in after importing and checking the population.
Continue to Populate users from an authoritative source.
