Steps (preparation)
- Define the scope of access to review.
- Identify reviewers and escalation paths.
- Define evidence requirements and retention needs.
- Document decision policy and cut‑off dates.
Default configuration
- Start with a small scope and a single reviewer group.
When to change it
- Expand scope only after you confirm review quality and completion rates.
Impact and risks
- Over‑scoped reviews cause reviewer fatigue and low decision quality.

Quarterly review of Finance access to payroll systems with manager reviewers and a two‑week deadline.
Troubleshooting
